Regrettably, it is time for Tip a Wee Dram to end.
The complexity of putting on the event, which is 100% driven by volunteers; the increasing challenges of working with the BC Liquor Distribution Board apparatus; and the many demands for whisky vendors who are pulled in many directions with other requests, and the hundreds of hours required to prepare, and stage such a great event, have led to this decision.
Our success is possible because of your support and the amazing contribution of the whisky vendors and donors.
March 2019 marked Tip a Wee Dram's 10th anniversary. We raised almost $500,000 over 10 years and the funds have gone to cancer research and the Callanish Society. For the last few years 100% of event proceeds have gone to the Callanish Society because of their extraordinary work with people living with and dying from cancer.
While Tip a Wee Dram is ending, we are keen to find other ways to support the Callanish Society. Have you ever felt a sense of helplessness when you hear that mothers, brothers, sisters, fathers, your friends and acquaintances have been diagnosed, or are living with cancer?
