The calls for, racist genocide denier at large, MLA Dallas Brodie to resign have been growing. This waste of tax payer money has been out screeching that there were no bodies found (referring to Kamloops 215), and land acknowledgments must stop.
Vic News:
“Brodie stands accused of using public funds, inside and outside the B.C. Legislature, to create and distribute racist and anti-Indigenous materials,” reads Wednesday’s press release, which highlighted Brodie’s ‘Zero bodies’ sign.
The picture was widely panned, and now the Syilx Okanagan chiefs are calling the stunt taxpayer-funded racism. “Brodie stands accused of using public funds, inside and outside the B.C. Legislature, to create and distribute racist and anti-Indigenous materials,” reads Wednesday’s press release, which highlighted Brodie’s ‘Zero bodies’ sign. Penticton Indian Band Chief Greg Gabriel and Tribal Chair Clarence Louie of the Okanagan Nation Alliance, issued a joint statement calling for Brodie’s resignation. “MLA Brodie owes our Elders and Indian Residential School survivors an apology. She owes the voters of Vancouver-Quilchena an apology. She owes all British Columbians an apology for her hateful and divisive rhetoric, which belongs in the dustbin of history, not the halls of the B.C. Legislature,” Gabriel and Louie said. “As we have said before, political leaders who hold and espouse racist and backward views, are disqualified from public service, as such views and comments are hateful and hurtful to Indigenous people, and put at risk the government-to-government relationship with Indigenous Nations on whose land this province depends.”

New Soap Drop!
often get asked this question:

“Do you have any soap for men?”

My response is always, I never gender my soaps, I create them with all bodies in mind. 🧼

Having said that, we’ve decided to create this soap trio with a more “Masculine” scent. Tested it out on a few friends, all rave reviews.

If you’re looking for more deep savoury aroma in a soap, these three are for you. Purchased as a trio and save.

Wayi Wah!
Oh my Creator! What a fun bunch!
I graduated from Britannia High school so it’s always so special when I get the opportunity to return in such a good way.
Thank you to Malcolm for being with me, he is so good with the community, especially the elders, cracking jokes and helping out.
We shared our wellness sprays with about 30 participants who were so eager to learn and share their experiences with us.
I love my job.

Did you know that Indigenous veterans suffered disenfranchisement and never received valour, glory, or compensation from fighting in WWI, WWII and Korean War? No promised education. No benefits. An Indian alcohol ban was also in effect, which would negate access to Legions and therefore any benefits offered. They didn’t fully receive recognition with Indigenous Veterans Day until 1993. Even then, Indigenous Veterans were not allowed to lay wreaths at war memorials. This mistreatment of our servicemen and women persists today. It was not until 2003 when the Canadian government finally apologized for these grievances. Canadas shameful past and present.
On this day it is customary to wear beaded poppies.

Get • Join us this Saturday, November 8, 2025 for the National Indigenous Veterans Day Community Celebration.

The day begins with the Open Ceremony at 312 Main (9:00 am, sign-in 8:30 am) followed by the Honour March to Victory Square and Wreath-Laying service (10:45–1:30 pm).

Reception and gathering to follow at VAFCS, 1607 E Hastings, 2:00–3:30 pm.

About us

Sisters Sage is Lynn and Melissa, two sisters from the Gitxaala, Nisgaa, and Metis Nations. Together we use our traditional knowledge and ingredients to create beautiful self care and wellness products. All of our handmade soaps are cold-processed and cured at least 6 weeks, Vegan, and palm oil free. Our Smokeless Smudge Spray was created as a convenient “refresher” as we were not allowed to burn our medicines in our basement suite. A popular item! The salves we created with our elders in mind, who would use these sacred ingredients for many ailments. Devils Club is near and dear to us!

Sisters Sage was started with a great need to change our life directions. Melissa was struggling with being pregnant and homeless; unable to find a home during the housing crisis, she felt a desperate need to start something that would be able to support her in all aspects of life. Lynn felt a desperate need to leave her toxic work environment and create something that encouraged her growth culturally, mentally, emotionally, and financially.

After a year of hard work, education, babies, moves, product testing, tears, fights, love, and successes.....Sisters Sage is so proud of how far we have come in our entrepreneur endeavors. To many years more!
