It is Time to Get Back to Your Wellness Routine!

True Health Studio would like to welcome back our long time registered massage therapist, Petra Suzuki from her maternity leave. She will be working every Friday from 1:30pm to 10:00pm.

There is a price change for our Chiropractic services starting Oct 15, 2021.

- Chiropractic Subsequent Visit: $55.00
- Chiropractic New Patient Visit: $85.00

The price change follows the BC Chiropractic Guidelines and it allows the clinic to continue to operate at its optimal providing the best services for our patients.

Chiropractic, massage and/or acupuncture treatments may alleviate the occasional sore muscles in your neck and lower back from sitting at the computer all day.

As we are near the end of 2021, stay ahead of your pain and discomfort, and plan for a better health by contacting us today!

The last quarter of the year is usually the busiest time at True Health Studio, so please book ahead for the winter months to ensure that your health is at its best for the upcoming new year!

As the weather gets warmer, cycling is a great exercise to pick up.

It is great for the cardiovascular system and strengthen of the core muscles.

Proper stretching and SI joint movement is essential for optimal riding position.

Our chiropractor at True Health Studio is an experienced cyclist and he can help mobilize the SI joint and provide proper instructions for cycling efficiency and safety.

Lifting properly may be challenging at times. Many patients have asked how do we do it?

Here are steps to proper lifting:

1. When you are about to lift an object regardless if it is heavy or not you should always plan ahead. Make sure the object is something you can lift yourself, always ask for help if you can.

2. Make sure the object is close to the body, as this will make lifting stronger and more balance.

3. Establish a solid base by feet shoulder width apart.

4. Bend your knees and keep your back straight like you are doing a squat.

5. As you raise the object contract your abdominal muscles slightly, this will protect your core and lower back.

6. Lift with your legs not with your lower back. Never bend backwards with your legs in a static postion, this will put stress to your lower back.

To place object onto the floor, reverse the steps. Make sure always move with your legs and not your back. Contract your abdominal muscles at all times.

*Never flex forward and twist at the same time. This is high risk for low back injuries, disc herniarions or sprain/strains.

Alex Yang is our newest massage therapist. He graduated from registered massage therapy school this past winter, and awaits his board exams results/license next month. Currently, he is treating patients at a much discounted rate, but provide essentially the same techniques and professional knowledge as a registered massage therapist)

As a reminder True Health Studio continues to treat new/current patients with our usual hours/schedules.

The clinic follows full COVID-19 protocols to ensure the utmost safety for our practitioners and patients.
