This Family Day, we’re sharing what it's like to support loved ones with arthritis and navigating life after diagnosis. Phalgun's wife Alison, who is on our Arthritis Patient Advisory Board, and daughter Maya, both live with rheumatoid arthritis. While he first struggled to understand the disease, he learned to show up for his family in meaningful ways.

From practicing patience when either of them experienced flare-ups to providing emotional support when they needed him most, Phalgun's story is a reminder that arthritis is a family affair.

How has arthritis shaped your family's experience?

February 4 is World Cancer Day, and we're exploring how research can better support people living with both cancer and arthritis.

Cancer immune checkpoint inhibitor therapies are powerful treatments. While these medications are very effective at treating cancer by turning on the immune system against cancer cells, they can cause or worsen pre-existing autoimmune rheumatic diseases.

New Canadian guidelines are helping clinicians better support people with rheumatic diseases who are starting cancer immunotherapy. These living guidelines offer disease-specific recommendations for balancing treatment with rheumatic disease care.
