What is a salon? This term came to life in the 1700s in France, and in short these were gatherings held by a host, who created a space of lively conversation, debate and the sharing of ideas that were critical to the times (think art, literature, philosophy). These gatherings often consciously followed Horace's definition of the aims of poetry - "either to please or to educate". Our modern HEN take on a salon is a place to spark Conversation + Connection + Community. While this is a virtual gathering of the minds, the goal will still be a gathering that is warm and inclusive, with plenty of sparks of inspiration.

The HEN Legacy Salon is open to any and all levels of Hakomi experience and interest. Join other HEN community members from around the globe for two hours where we'll explore a theme and take questions from the audience while we engage in stories and sharing with the Legacy Holders. We will have a moderator (in the tradition of any good salon!) and who knows - there may be some surprises that pop up along the way.

On March 1st, join us for our next Legacy Salon. A modern take on an old tradition - the Salon is a place to spark conversation + connection + community. Join Legacy Holders Adama Hamilton, Bob Milone, Donna Martin and Georgia Marvin, along with our host Andrea Freeman in this interactive session to explore the theme of Teaching. This will explore stories from years of teaching Hakomi and other modalities - where, how, who and what they have learned, how they've adapted. So far we've laughed, we've cried, and anyone who has attended a session already can tell you it has been a gift to be in community with these lovely humans.

The theme of the next International Hakomi Congress, happening July 2026 in Wicklow, IE, is "Supporting A Spirit Of Generosity". Living in to that theme means reminding ourselves that not all members of our community have the same capacity for attending Congress. Our goal is to create a handful of scholarships for people who couldn't otherwise attend. Help us meet our goal to raise $5000 for scholarships by Jan 31, 2026.
