Moxa sooooo good💚.... dispell the damp and cold from the channels, relieve pain, fatigue and stagnation. Restore digestion, regulate menstrual flow, these are all some of the beautiful benefits of Moxa!
"It's like pouring sunshine into the body and soul."
There are many ways to use and apply Moxa. In these pics I've chosen to use stick Moxa, warming needle and points techniques.
When we burn Moxa close to an Acupoint, the energy, heat & warmth enters the channels, finds the stagnation and warms and moves it, restoring Qi and movement.
In this treatment my lovely patient has been experiencing a complicated profile of pain, fatigue, digestive and systemic challenges. Her condition is also sensitive to being worsened by the cold damp climate of Northwest Winter elements.
Wiith some gentle Acupuncture to help move and regulate her Qi plus some lovely soothing warming Moxa applied to some special points we were able to help her feel a lot better!
Once warmed up and Qi flowing she was given some time to rest and restore.
The rest time can be a great opportunity to get an all powerful "Acunap!!" Hahahha or if one is not sleepy in treatment, practice some meditation and breathwork (1, 2, 3s!!!) Or even just some undistracted time to rest and let the mind flow and release. Practicing breathing during Acu treatments is great for in the moment, but also helps strengthen the memory in the body how to regulate when doing daily breathwork between treatments, cue in the importance of self empowered healing...
💚😇
Happy Sunday! May you be warm, cozy and healthy ✨️
