Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society

Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society TWC’s mission is to educate and support individuals who struggle with the challenges of addiction. Thank you for your generous support.

Together We Can Addiction Recovery & Education Society was founded in 1993 and since then has become one of Canada’s leading treatment centres for men. Located in Metro Vancouver, TWC’s mission is to educate and support men and families who struggle with the challenges of substance misuse, and desire a new life in recovery. TWC provides over 200 men with abstinence-based recovery programs and supportive housing opportunities in a therapeutic residential setting. Our addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, and aftercare initiatives provide residents with an integrated approach to rehabilitation. Together We Can understands that long-term recovery is most successful when people are provided health and wellness supports for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing. TWC is a licensed healthcare service provider through Vancouver Coastal Health, and is well established as a reputable destination where men can truly begin to create change in their lives and rebuild their family relationships. As a registered charity, we are dedicated to building positive community relationships with Families, Donors, Partners, and Government. Together, we can continue to make a difference in our community.

Thank you to Minister of Health Josie Osborne & Claire Rattée MLA for Skeena for joining us on a tour of our newest Sober Living, Benner House in Terrace! Minister Osborne and MLA Rattee gained a deeper understanding of the importance of care after treatment and how sober living helps individuals achieve long-term outcomes, as they rebuild their lives, reconnect with their families, and reclaim their identities. We are always happy to see collaboration across party lines and grateful for everyone's support in recognizing the importance of treatment and recovery!

7 years of recovery for our dear friend and TWC alumnus, Doug! 🥳
Doug is an integral part of our intake team and a true example of what it means to live recovery out loud. His dedication and empathy have a meaningful impact on both our team and the individuals we serve.

Doug shared this reflection with us: “Every day is a new chance to heal, grow, and find strength I didn’t know I had. Recovery isn’t perfect, but it’s worth it.”

Congratulations, Doug — your journey continues to remind us all that change is possible, one day at a time. 🌿

Please help us celebrate TWC Supporter and Friend, Tyler C., as he achieves one year of sobriety! Tyler’s journey over the past year has been nothing short of inspiring. His commitment to recovery has not only transformed his own life, but has also helped spark hope and healing in others. Tyler has been instrumental in helping us establish recovery services in Northern BC, bringing compassion, leadership, and lived experience to communities that need it most. His story reminds us that sobriety isn’t just personal — it’s powerful enough to unite and uplift entire communities. We’re proud to walk this path with him. Here's to many more milestones ahead!

Tyler shares, "1 year sober — cherishing these moments and walking with purpose.❤️🙏🏻"

Together, We Recover. Together, We Grow.

We’re proud to share some exciting news — Together We Can and Charlford House Society for Women have joined forces in a transformative partnership!

By uniting decades of experience, compassion, and innovation, we’re expanding access to care and strengthening recovery systems for women across British Columbia.

Charlford House has been a beacon of hope since 1970, empowering women through community-based addiction treatment. Together, we’re building on that legacy — creating new opportunities for healing, connection, and growth.

Here’s to a future where every woman has the chance to recover and thrive.

“ Three years ago I didn’t know how to break the cycle of addiction but I know I felt trapped. TWC gave me the tools and space to learn how to heal the past, focus on the present and plan for the future. I am truly grateful to have genuine peace and joy in my life free from drugs and alcohol. Help is out there, anyone can make the change. We are here for you when you’re ready.”

A very special congratulations to Kevin on 3 years of continued sobriety! You are proof that with support and determination, recovery isn’t just possible — it’s powerful.

1 in 5 Canadians will experience a substance use disorder — but with your support, recovery is possible.

Every day at Together We Can, lives are rebuilt through hope, community, and recovery. Now, we’re asking for your help to provide 1,200 nights of recovery treatment for those who need it most. Every night of care means a bed, a safe place, and a new beginning.

We’re grateful to have already raised $274,000 thanks to our generous donors and community partners. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier future — one night, one person, one recovery at a time.

Congratulations, Ron — your strength and commitment inspire others. We’re so thankful for the heart and energy you bring to Together We Can every day.
