With war unfolding across the world, many Canadians are wondering how it’s going to hit home. We’re already seeing it at the pumps—and we all know when gas prices rise, everything else follows.

Experts are predicting grocery costs could jump another 10–15% this year, on top of existing inflation. That’s an extra $400–$600 annually for the average BC family of three.

We’re also expecting pressure on produce. Roughly 30% of the world’s fertilizer comes from that region, including about half of the global sulphur supply. When that gets disrupted, food prices don’t stay still for long.

Now more than ever, it’s important to stay informed, support local, and buy BC-made when you can.
