Not all disability has visibility!
Warning ⚠️ - don't look at the last picture if you're squeamish 😜
After a long battle with refractory Ulcerative Colitis, having my colon removed was the only option I was left with.. 10 days post op and recovering amazingly!
First pic was 2 days after surgery, still had 6 IVs and a catheter coming out of my body. Those were some dark days haha. A week later and I'm a whole new person. It's amazing what our bodies can go through. Feeling blessed ☺️ finally getting my quality of life back. Looking forward to feeling healthy again and dedicating my life to it. It's been a crazy ride and I've learned so much in the process. I won't go into details in this post but if anyone is curious or has any questions or wants to chat about this disease, auto-immune diseases in general, ostomies (the bag thats hanging out of my stomach), medications, treatments (conventional and/or natural), health, wellness, fitness or anything related, feel free to message me. I'm an open book! I won't be offended by silly questions 🤪
Gotta give a big THANKS 🙏 to my whole support network during these last few years, it's been a hell of a ride but I'm finally on the mend and so grateful for all my friends, family, clients, workplaces, health care practioners, and most of all and our fir baby! Love you all ❤
