Weight loss ≠ fat loss

And chances are on GLP-1s you’re losing both muscle and fat. Not only does this down regulate your metabolism which doesn’t only make maintenance and fat loss in the future much harder, it also impacts every other system in your body

So if you’re on a glp-1 it’s even more important you’re getting 1 gram of protein per pound of healthy body weight and focusing on resistance training WITH progressive overload to counteract these negative side effects

Now that you have the information and can make the decision whether it is worth limiting or cutting out alcohol this summer… what can we do to counteract these negative impacts as best as possible?
🍸Try to stay below the 5-6 drinks a month threshold
🍸Avoid drinking on an empty stomach
🍸Focus on replenishing electrolytes and minerals before an after
🍸Try to keep drinking further away from bedtime (daaaay drinking>>)
🍸Focus on low sugar, lower calories drinks
🍸 Pick and choose situations where you find it is worth it

I have the information and definitely will monitor intake, stick to mocktails when I find worth it but also realize the socializing that comes from a cocktail or 2 is good for my health also!

It really all depends on the person, where they are at in their health journey and what you prioritize

Im curious, if you’re on a health journey have you made any adjustments to your drinking habits and if so, what are they?

Your bloating an digestive issues probably have much more to do with your daily habits lifestyle then you even realize

Not going to the bathroom everyday, reacting poorly to a large number of foods, feeling pregnant after a normal day of eating or even just drinking some water… not normal!

And sometimes it has to do with lack of fibre in your diet, but a lot of the time we aren’t thinking about these habits that play a huge roll in our digestive health

That’s why we take a well rounded approach with our clients because there is never a blanket solution for any symptoms and if you pay someone to help you and they send you on your way with elimination diet, no testing and a probiotic… I’d run the other way 🙂

Comment “Circadian” for my free circadian rhythm guide 🌞

The sun can be our friend and a game changer for our health when these habits are applied responsibly of course

Something I didn’t even mention in regards to symptoms is its impact our insulin sensitivity and blood regulation

Another honourable mention is how important it is for our immunity

Since I talk so much about skin, one of the biggest correlations between acne, eczema and psoriasis is a vitamin D deficiency but supplementing with vitamin d can often do more harm than good

It truly is foundational when it comes to our overall health and between being inside under artificial light all day long and lack of movement that comes with that, it’s not wonder so many of us are sick AND tired

It’s a simple habit to implement and the best way is to habit stack it with walks after meals so you’re also helping with your blood sugar AND digestion

For my northern gals, now’s the time to start stocking up on vitamin D for next winter ✨
