RN/RPN
Job description:
• Implements prescribed interventions (e.g., diagnostic tests, medications) and performs independent nursing interventions (e.g., patient or client and family education).
• Perform nasopharyngeal swabs and/or other type of tests to adult and pediatric patients.
• Identifies and communicates patient or family needs to the interdisciplinary health care team and other providers of care as appropriate.
• Assesses and interprets patient or client’s ability (physical, social and psychological) to manage their health in order to perform adequate care.
• Supervises and evaluates care provided by direct care assistive and support staff.
• Create and contribute to patients’ medical records as needed.
• Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their parents or guardians. Counsel patients and family members before, during and after procedure.
• Track and maintain medical supply inventory along with other staff members.
• Demonstrates professionalism in attitude, dress and behavior.
• Able to travel and work on flexible schedule.
• Expected to have excellent communication skills and be proactive towards problems’ resolution.
• Expected to explain procedure/s to adults and children.
• Expected to apply knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
• Expected to perform CPR and first aid if required.
• Ability to identify, record, and report adverse events.
• Familiar with data entry on standard electronic medical records software
• Experience in packaging and shipment of samples
• Able to implement necessary infection prevention and control measures during sampling.
• Correct use of Personal Protective Equipment during sampling and other procedures on site
• Able to support logistics and administrative responsibilities at testing sites as required to maintain the reputation of GVT Labs and Imaging Services Inc.
• Able to participate and conduct training as required.
• Documents and participate in training of new staff
• Able to sign contract and start work immediately.

Requirements:
• Valid and Current RN or RPN License in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is required
• Valid and Current Driver's License (G2 or G) is required
• Ability to travel within GTA and outside of GTA area (will reimburse mileage as 50 cents per km outside of GTA area) is required.
• Valid CPR/AED Certification
• Updated immunization records as required to work in healthcare settings.
• Experience in administrative and operational duties of patient care
• Trained and/or previous experience with collecting nasopharyngeal swabs.
• Knowledge and experience in packaging of biological specimens
• Able to provide police record check and vulnerability sector check.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of multi-disciplinary team
• Fluent French is an asset.

Site Administrator
Job Description
• Performing site/lab related activities in a very multitasking environment
• Perform patient authentication and registration (manually or electronically)
• Greet patients when they arrive at the lab/site and provide them with any necessary paperwork or other information
• Direct patients to the lab area for scheduled procedures and other testing
• Processing and Documentation of lab results
• Proactively be available at registration, result processing or any other areas of lab/site to assist if required
• Assist with obtaining Informed Consent from patients if required
• Follow Lab Site Manager instructions

Applicant must be able to:
• Work well in a team environment
• Maintain professional communication at all times
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Multi-task and prioritize
• Speak and write English fluently, Second language an asset

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required

Site Manager
Job Description
• Manage and coordinate lab/site operations
• Implement, manage and maintain record keeping, confidential personnel files
• Manage, maintain lab/site equipment and inventory
• Provide general support to staff
• Maintain an inventory of office supplies and equipment
• Client related and other problems resolution using customer service skills
• Proactively communicate work related issues with upper management on a timely manner
• Ensure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity in order to motivate individuals to contribute to the mission of GVT Lab & Imaging Services Inc.
• Ensures lab/site maintenance and oversee coordination of schedules, efficient work distribution and relief needs as required.
• Ensures all required precautions related to COVID-19 at the lab/site
• Coordinate patient registration process and test processing flow to ensure efficient work at lab/site
• Communication with lab/site Test Manager efficiently

Applicant must be able to:
• Work well in a team environment
• Maintain professional communication at all times
• Provide excellent customer service at all times
• Multi-task and prioritize
• Speak and write English fluently, Second language an asset

Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of managerial experience required
• High School Diploma required
• University/college Degree required
• Experience in customer service field required
• Valid G2/G License is required
• Excellent communication, coaching and collaboration skills
• Effective consultation skills to foster collaborative working relationships among management, staff, organizational units, etc.
• Strong organizational skills to plan and co-ordinate various activities and manage competing priorities and balance multiple, disparate tasks
• Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with our lab l related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
• Fluent French is an asset.
