Half of new mothers and birthing parents in Canada are struggling.
That part gets attention (barely).
But what stood out to me even more?
- Most aren’t getting support.
- Many don’t know where to go.
- And some were never even asked how they were doing.
This isn’t just about mental health.
It’s about navigation.
Because when you’re in it - sleep deprived, overwhelmed, adjusting to a completely new life - figuring out what you need and where to go isn’t simple.
And right now, that responsibility sits with the parent.
That’s the gap.
This is exactly why I created Anamav - and why it’s now evolving to better support more parents, perinatal providers, and employers.
There’s a lot of work to be done.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect.
