From mental health to sleep, lactation, and doula support, our experts are here for your whole family—because no one should struggle in silence after baby arrives. Anamav was created to help fill the gaps in postnatal care that so many mothers experience in Canada. We plan to offer some of the most essential services that a new mother needs: an extra set of hands, someone to offer words of comfort or just listen, breastfeeding support for those who choose to breastfeed, and nourishing meals prepared fresh and delivered to your doorstep. Our goal at Anamav is to support the entire family and understand each family's individual needs.

There are parts of early motherhood no one really talks about.

Not just the sleepless nights or the chaos — but the mental and emotional weight.

The fear. The guilt. The pressure to hold it all together even when you’re falling apart inside.

For me, it wasn’t postpartum depression or anxiety — it was psychosis.

I slipped into a place that felt dark and unfamiliar, like I was watching myself from the outside.

What helped me begin to heal was learning to reach out… and realizing that asking for help isn’t weakness — it’s strength.

Since then, I’ve met so many moms carrying invisible weights. We’re told to be grateful, to be strong, to “bounce back.”

But what we really need is space to simply be human.

So on this World Mental Health Day, I just want to say:
✨ It’s okay to not be okay.
✨ Your feelings are valid.
✨ You’re allowed to ask for help.

We don’t talk about this enough. But we should.
Because mental health isn’t a side note in motherhood — it’s at the very core of it.

I see you. I’ve been there.
And there is absolutely no shame in how hard it can feel sometimes.
