Supportive Family Services is hiring!
We are looking for an Independent Contractor/Associate or Intern with a passion for working with children, teenagers, youth and families to join our team on a part-time basis,
Supportive Family Services is a group private practice, which provides therapy to children, teenagers, and adults. We provide individual, family and couple therapy for a wide range of issues and using different approaches.
We are currently hiring for in-person services in our Vaughan, Ontario office, which has a bus stop at the corner, and connects a bus (less than 10 mins ride) with the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre subway station. It’s also very close to hwy400 and hwy7 for those who drive.
Covid protocols and government guidelines are followed for all in-person sessions.
Some virtual sessions with adults and teenagers might also be available, but the main focus would be to provide services to children and their families in-person.
As an Independent Contractor/Associate you’ll have the freedom and flexibility of self-employment without the burden of running your own business. This position is suitable for a recent graduate of a Master in Counselling Psychology or similar, or someone with experience intending to become a Registered Psychotherapist, and in need of DCC and supervision hours. Students of a Master level program in a related field, looking for a practicum placement, will also be considered.
To be considered for this position, we require
• Masters level education in a related field or completing the program and in need of a practicum placement
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children, teens and families
• Skills and training to support children and families affected by anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and/or separation/divorce
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills
• Weekend and/or some evening availability is a must
• Prior experience in private practice an asset, or willingness to learn
• A minimum of one year commitment
• Liability insurance
• Registration with a professional college (OCSWSSW/CRPO) (preferred)
