You’ve probably heard it before — “Drink cranberry juice, it helps with UTIs!”

But here’s the truth: cranberry juice alone isn’t a cure or reliable prevention strategy for urinary tract infections.

While it may have mild benefits for some people, and likely won't hurt, managing or preventing chronic and recurrent UTIs takes more than a bottle of juice.

That’s why our Registered Dietitian, Samantha Holmgren, RD, is hosting an online education session to help you understand the connection between nutrition, bladder health, and UTI prevention.

In this session, you’ll learn:
✅ What to eat (and what to avoid) to support bladder health
✅ How hydration and gut balance impact recurring infections
✅ The truth about cranberry juice — and what really works

📅 Date: April 21, 2026
🕖 Time: 7:00–8:00 PM EST (Virtual)
💻 $50 + tax to attend but free for Dr. German's patients — registration required
Stop sipping on myths and start learning strategies that actually work.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re constantly guessing what to eat (or avoid) for your UTIs… you’re not alone.

One day it’s “drink more water.”
The next it’s “avoid certain foods.”
And somehow, you’re still dealing with flare-ups.

The truth?
There isn't always a one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to diet and UTIs — but there is a way to better understand what your body needs.

That’s where the right guidance can make all the difference.

Our clinic’s Registered Dietitian is hosting a virtual education session focused on how nutrition, hydration, and supplements can support people living with chronic and recurrent UTIs.

Inside this session, you’ll learn:
✨ How diet impacts bladder irritation and inflammation
✨ What may be triggering your symptoms
✨ How to build sustainable habits (without restriction or overwhelm)
✨ Where supplements actually fit into your care plan

If you’re tired of second-guessing your choices, this session will give you clarity.

What if there was a way to treat chronic UTIs without more antibiotics?

Phage therapy is an innovative treatment that uses naturally-occurring viruses—called bacteriophages, or phages—to target and destroy the bacteria causing your infection.

Presently, Phage Therapy is not currently approved in Canada unless it’s part of a research study.

At You’ve Got This Clinic, Dr Gregory German MD, PhD, DTM&H, FRCPC, FIDSA offers phage therapy education, consulting and liaison services for those who would like to explore phage therapy as a treatment option.

Instead of another round of antibiotics, this treatment takes a targeted approach that helps your body fight back—especially if your infection has become antibiotic-resistant.

Phage therapy is currently not available in Canada but there are options that you may consider with the guidance of your care providers.

At You’ve Got This Clinic, our UTI specialists are leaders in advanced urinary tract infection care. We offer a wide variety of services including Ontario Health Insurance Plan covered physician and physician assistant services.

💛 If you’re tired of living with recurring UTIs, it’s time to explore what’s possible.

If you’ve ever been told to “just drink cranberry juice” 🍒 for your UTIs… you’re not alone.

But here’s the truth: cranberry juice isn’t the fix people think it is.

While it may offer a small benefit for some, it’s not strong enough to treat an active infection — and it won’t prevent chronic or recurrent UTIs on its own.

In fact, most store-bought cranberry juices are loaded with sugar, which can actually make bladder symptoms worse.

That’s why understanding what really supports bladder health is so important — and where good nutrition can make a huge difference.

Our clinic’s Dietitian is hosting an online education session to break down what actually works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to nutrition and ongoing UTI care.

If you’re tired of guessing or relying on myths, this session is for you.

Living with chronic or recurrent UTIs can take a serious toll — anxiety, isolation, frustration, and burnout are more common than people realize.

We recently hosted a Nurse Practitioner–led mental health group session for people living with chronic and recurrent UTIs — and the response reminded us how needed this support truly is.

Did you know that nurse practitioners offer a unique lens when it comes to UTI-related mental health care?

Because they are trained in both medical and mental health support, NPs can:
✨ Provide goal-directed mental health counselling
✨ Prescribe medications when appropriate and understand how they interact with your overall health
✨ Integrate this support directly into your broader UTI care plan

This means your emotional wellbeing isn’t treated separately from your physical symptoms — it’s cared for together, helping patients feel more supported, understood, and confident in managing life with UTIs.

If living with UTIs has affected your mental health, your relationships, your confidence, or your daily life, this kind of support can make a meaningful difference.

📍 Nurse practitioner mental health sessions are available for Ontario residents.
🌎 If you’re outside Ontario, our email concierge service is available to help answer general questions and guide next steps.

💛 You don’t have to carry the emotional weight of chronic UTIs alone.

Through virtual and in-person appointments, we support patients across Canada, the U.S., and internationally with multidisciplinary, expert-led care designed to fit real life.

He is a Royal College of Canada–certified, Canadian-trained infectious and microbiology specialist, with expertise in the clinic-based treatment and laboratory diagnosis of infections. He is widely recognized for his work in urinary tract infections and phage therapy.

Whether you’re seeking answers, prevention strategies, or a care plan that goes beyond short-term fixes, you don’t have to keep navigating this alone — or limit your options based on location.
