πŸ“πŸ₯¦ Fresh vegetables and fruits can seem to spoil before you get a chance to use them. The good news is that there are many simple ways to use them instead of throwing them out!

❄️ Our top tip – freeze them! Freezing vegetables and fruit that are about to go bad can preserve them to be used later. You can add your frozen vegetables and fruit to yogurts, cereals, oatmeal or smoothies.

🩷 Today, Wednesday February 25th, 2026 is Pink Shirt Day! 🩷

πŸ‘š This year’s design for CKNW Kids’ Fund Pink Shirt Day reminds us to β€˜Sprinkle Kindness’, encouraging everyone to share kindness, inclusion and support to create safe, bullying-free environments. The artwork shows a child sharing an umbrella with friends as hearts fall like rain from the sky. A playful reminder that kindness grows when it is shared.
