We are excited to share some wonderful news! As some of you may remember from September, Southview Ag (Lyle, Trevor, Dustin Farkash & Family) chose Vermilion & District Housing Foundation as their charity of choice for the Nutrien Hometown Yield Challenge, and we are so honoured to have been selected as their recipient.
Their dedication and hard work resulted in an impressive 26.7% yield difference, earning 2nd place across all of Western Canada. Through this achievement, Nutrien Ag Solutions Canada awarded VDHF $5,000, which Southview Ag generously matched with a personal donation of $5,000, for a total contribution of $10,000 to our Foundation.
When local families and businesses think of our not-for-profit and choose to support the work we do, it has a real impact on our residents and the many community members we serve. Being chosen in this way means more than we can easily put into words.
We are truly elated by their generosity, competitive spirit, and commitment to giving back to the community. Thank you, Southview Ag and Nutrien, for your support & community pride!

January Staff Spotlight!

We’d like to shine the spotlight on Teya, one of our amazing nighttime housekeepers! Teya has been with us for four years and is always on the go, reliable, hardworking, and consistently ensuring our building feels clean, comfortable, and like home for our residents.

Her dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate the care and pride she puts into her work every shift. Thank you Teya for everything you do!

As the year comes to a close, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our volunteers, residents, families, and staff. Your kindness, dedication, and support have made this year truly special, and we are so grateful to be part of such a caring community.

We’ve had a busy week! Mayor Rob Snow & Bruce MacDuff stopped by to wish us all a Merry Christmas on behalf of the Town of Vermilion.

Co-op came by to spread holiday cheer and gifted all the residents their presents from the Community Care Program. A huge thank you to everyone who participated! We can’t express enough how wonderful our community is!

And to top it all off, Doc Holidays graciously volunteered their time to take us on an evening light tour. Our hearts are full and we are ready for Christmas! 🎄✨
