We are excited to present our next Living Despite Meeting on Wednesday January 28th from 1:00 - 2:30 in the NEW location at the Vernon Public Library in the Okanagan Room which will be smaller and more intimate.

We will be having Gillian Boehm speaking about Pranic Healing...here is what Gillian has to say about her talk

My name is Gillian and I have dealt with chronic pain and illness personally throughout her life. I am now in a position to assist individuals through their health journey and provide simple and practical solutions to bring about more balanced mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

Join us on January 28th for a brief intro to Pranic Healing. We will explore the energetic anatomy, how it relates to the physical body, and how Pranic healing can help alleviate symptoms and even reverse the patterns of disease.

We will also experience a short guided meditation and a gentle breathing exercise to bring about more inner peace and stillness. Optional 5-min free healing demos will be offered for those interested.

Please visit my website [www.HealerGillian.com](http://www.healergillian.com/) for more information or reach out with any questions:)

Put this down on your calendar...we hope to see you there

We just want to thank our John Rudy Health Resource Centre community for making this year so amazing.

We held our Care, Connect Create Caregivers event in May which had many people from the community attend and learnt from our exhibitors about what they have to offer our Caregivers. We also had speakers who shared how to communicate better and tell their personal stories of being caregivers

We had our End of Life event in October which allowed our community to learn about how to take control in planning their End of Life affairs with both exhibitors and speakers

We had our Nutritional Workshops from Mikkie Nettles from DEEM Health who taught our clients how to manage their nutrition in an easy affordable way.

Mikkie also ran our Stronger than you Think weekly classes at Deem for those living with chronic health conditions.

We had our monthly Living Despite meetings where we brought in Professionals who can help those living with chronic pain and chronic health conditions manage their lives better

We brought in Marc Fisher from Let's Talk Communication who shared with us ways to better communicate as a caregiver

We were honored to receive a grant from Community Foundation North Okanagan which will help us bring in more programs for accessibility to our community

Can't thank Amy Hamilton enough for coming and speaking to us today about how to Live Despite with many tools we can use on a daily basis. It was so helpful to hear that you truly understood this journey as you also deal with chronic health conditions.

We were beyond excited that we had 18 people in attendance and had to keep adding chairs, this made my heart swell to be able to share with others who are looking for help. There is help out there and we at John Rudy Health Resource Centre are here to help support you by putting these workshops on

11/26/2025

Don't forget our Living Despite meeting is TODAY November 26th at 1:00 PM at the Vernon Public Library.

We will be having Amy Hamilton speak to us about her life with ME/CFS and how this has impacted her and her family but how it has helped her in her practice as a clinical counsellor who specializes in helping people manage chronic health conditions.

You don't want to miss this event in person BUT if you are unable to attend we are offering this by zoom and you just need to register with John Rudy Health Resource Centre by phone at 250-938-8092 or email at info@johnrudyhealth.ca
