Meet Courtney De Vries the newest member of Local Collective!

She’s the best physio around, so book in while she has some opening, cuz they don’t last long

We have waited a VERY long time to get her over here!! So we are really excited for her February start😝

Courtney is an Okanagan local, raised in Kelowna and now calling Vernon home. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at UBC in 2013 and went on to earn a Master’s in Physical Therapy at UBC in 2016. Courtney has advanced training in functional dry needling and acupuncture, as well as additional certifications in vestibular rehabilitation (vertigo/dizziness), visceral manipulation and manual therapy. She practices using The Integrated Systems Model, an approach that links past injuries, posture, and movement habits to current injuries or conditions to provide a comprehensive understanding of the body.

Recently, she began training in craniosacral therapy and is completing her somatic experiencing practitioner certification. Courtney is passionate about creating a safe, healing space for her clients and is deeply committed to offering craniosacral and somatic therapies to support their healing journey.

Meet Brooklyn Fuhriman our newest RMT!

Brooklyn graduated from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2023. She has been drawn to massage from a young age as she noted the healing properties of this therapy during her many years of competition with her soccer team.
Brooklyn looks to create a safe and welcoming environment for anyone who is seeking a tailored treatment to their individual needs or simply looking for a relaxing massage. She enjoys researching information on the human body to investigate the various aspects which contribute to chronic and acute pain as well as massage practices to decrease these issues. She offers techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point release, Swedish massage and neuromuscular modalities. She has noted the benefits of massage in both addressing ongoing issue as well as preventative “maintenance”.
In Brooklyn’s free time you can find her camping in the mountains, spending time at the gym, enjoying the local beaches and to satisfy her artistic side, with some painting.

Brooklyn will be starting in May, working Tuesday and Wednesday 2:30-7:15!

We are excited to welcome Natalie Chester to our team of RMT’s. She graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2023!

She uses a variety of relaxation and moderate to deep techniques to help work towards your treatment goals. These include Swedish massage, trigger point release, neuromuscular techniques and facilitated stretching.

Natalie is from a small town on Vancouver Island. She decided to moved to Vernon to attend OVCMT, and liked the area so much she decided to stay. In her spare time, she likes to enjoy the outdoors including skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, paddleboarding, gardening, swimming, CrossFit and exploring new places.

Natalie recognize the benefits of massage and the importance of living an active lifestyle. I want to help you feel the best you can throughout your daily activities.
Her schedule is open for May! She has amazing hours so book in while there’s still spots

Meet Jolene!

Our new spa practitioner, soon- to-be RMT!

Her hours are Thursday, Friday 3-8 and Saturday 10-4.

Jolene graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in November 2023.

Currently, she’s a practicing spa practitioner while eagerly awaiting to take her board exams to become an RMT. She has an extensive background in dance, specializing in ballet which fuels her passion for injury recovery and holistic health. Jolene works with her clients, tailoring massages to their needs while incorporating a variety of techniques such as myofascial release, muscle energy, focused deep/soft tissue work, and Swedish massage.

Beyond her therapeutic skills, Jolene enjoys a range of activities during her leisure time, including hiking, kayaking, biking, crocheting, art, dance, and yoga.

Local Collective Therapy Center has been in the making for about 7 years. Ever since Alisha was in massage school, she wanted to open her own massage clinic. A place with a chill vibe, where people can come and de-stress from life. Most people talk about how busy their lives are and reminisce to the “good old days” before kids, marriage, school and jobs … where life was easy and simple. WELL Local Collective Therapy is just that, a sweet escape from the grind, life and “catering to everyone else except #1”!
