“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
~ Romans 8:28

For anyone hoping, pondering, wondering why… know that He has you. 🫶🏻

Over this past year, I’ve struggled at times with God’s purpose in all that I’ve been through (& continue to muddle on through), but in all of it, there’s been such peace. 🕊️

That undeniable, inexplicable peace has been rooted in the palpable tranquility of my faith, knowing He is my refuge & my strength… & He has never left me alone in this. 🤲🏻

It’s proof that He is Emmanuel (“God with us”). And that is the beautiful season we are in, to celebrate His coming to earth as a little baby… a perfect, innocent baby. ✨

If He’d merely come as a fallible man, He could not have been a sufficient substitute to have died for our sins, giving us the chance to live in peace.

If He’d merely come down as divine, not having felt the trials of humanity, His sacrifice would not have been sufficient to redeem us.

But He did. He came. And He keeps His promises.
So, I know He will redeem my circumstance as well.

I’m going into 2026 in that peace that surpasses all understanding because He is with me. Emmanuel. 🤍

Bella & I decided, what the heck... viral Christmas photo shoot trend... why not!? Don’t we look fab? 🤩🎄💁‍♀️

(It only took ChatGPT 5 times to get it right, but who’s counting?)

I’m so blessed to have my Bella with me for Christmas this year... I couldn’t have hoped or wished for a better gift, truly. I thank God each bonus day we have together. 🤍

Finally! 🌲

I’m late getting my tree this year.
So when my brother offered to help with his truck, I quickly took him up on it.

Little did he realize this was going to be an adventure.

We went high up at first but only found old growth trees that were too big or too lopsided due to the density of the forest.

On our way back down, he spotted it.
It’s the BIGGEST (aka full-figured) tree I’ve ever had… but she pretty! With the greenest needles!

Can’t wait to get some lights on her… ✨
PS. My house smells better than your house. ☺️

Each year I try to post a photo-a-day to celebrate the spirit of Christmas & the birth of a baby who changed history. 🤍

I’ve been recycling the same two photo challenge lists year after year… this time I’m trying something new.

I created this list & graphic… & y’all are welcome to steal it & join me. Just be sure to use the hashtag

You’ll usually find the photos/videos in my stories each day, but some may occasionally show up in the grid too.

Merry Christmas, everyone! 🎄

Have you been to Artsolutely? 🤍

If you haven’t, or don’t know what it is, let me tell you all about it bc it’s my favourite! 🤩

Artsolutely Holiday Artisan Market & Fundraiser ( ) is put on every year by the Vernon Community Art Centre (in conjunction with 40-50 curated local artisans) to bring you thousands of lovingly handmade products & unique gifts for your loved ones for Christmas (or for any occasion). 🎁

They’ll be open daily from now until Christmas Eve & artisans may be adding new items all the time! You’ll find stuff for every type of budget. Plus, there’s no tax on any of the items & free parking at the venue! 🛍️

This market helps VCAC in many integral programs supporting art education in our community. 🖼️

I generally purchase local as much as possible & Artsolutely gives me the perfect place to find something for everyone on my list. Did I mention, it’s my favourite? 😆

I love helping my sister (in law) Sarah get set up each year as it gives me a sneak peek on what I wanna grab as soon as the Market opens (as it did tonight)! 🫶🏻

Hours are:
Mon to Fri: 9 am -7 pm
Sat: 9 am – 5 pm
Sun: 11 am – 4 pm
November 29 – December 23
& 9 am – 1 pm on Christmas Eve (Dec 24)

I truly hope I’ll see you there!
Merry Christmas! 🫶🏻🎄❄️

Little update on Bella:

I realize I’ve not been posting much lately.

Less than a month ago, I was imminently losing my girl… & it could very well be days yet… but she continues to surprise me (& her vet). 🥹

I mean, I shouldn’t be shocked at her resiliency, & I’m beyond grateful for it. She’s my best friend & the best thing in my world, hands down. I’ll take every single moment we have left together. 🤍

A month ago, I purchased a small toy for her for “Christmas” bc I had no illusions that she’d yet be here at Christmas. Bella doesn’t even play with toys, truly. 😜

So, while I could lose her today, tomorrow, or a month from now… at 13 1/2 years old, with cancer (x2) & some significant arthritis… the vet thinks she’s doing quite well. She’s still fighting, eating, sometimes even playing. Lots more drool & quiet time, limited walks, & a plethora of treats is what our days consist of. LOVE that I get to be home with her, just as she’s been there for me through everything. 🐶

I pray over her every single day & I know that God has granted us these ephemeral moments in His graciousness.
We would still appreciate all your prayers as well. 🫶🏻

Hopeful for more time & more posts to come. ☀️
