IT band “tightness” is usually the feeling, not the problem👇🏼

A lot of what we see is actually IT band enthesopathy — irritation where the tissue attaches to bone.

That’s why rolling and stretching only help temporarily.... They don’t improve blood flow, stimulate healing, or reduce irritation at the attachment site.

What actually works:
✔️reduce irritation and support healing (EMTT, shockwave)
✔️ build strength + control — so the leg can better absorb and distribute load during movement

Ongoing symptoms mean something hasn’t been properly assessed or addressed.

Stretching feels good — but if your pain keeps coming back, it’s not solving the problem.

What feels “tight” is often your body trying to create stability where it doesn’t have it.
So you stretch it → it loosens → and then tightens right back up.

That’s not a flexibility issue.
That’s a control + support issue.

Low back, hips, hamstrings — these are common areas where people chase relief instead of addressing what’s actually driving the tension.

Low back stiffness is rarely caused by one specific moment.

What we see more often is a gradual shift:
👉 less movement variability through the winter, more time sitting, and then a quick increase in activity as weather improves and activities pick up again.

Research shows that when movement becomes more limited and repetitive, the body adapts — and tolerance to load (i.e., jogging along Dallas road because it's bot pouring rain anymore) decreases over time...

So when activity increases again, it’s not surprising that stiffness shows up.

If it improves once you get moving, that’s a good sign — but if it keeps returning, it’s worth paying attention to what’s causing it.
