We are the only studio on the island that trains teachers in both 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and a 500 Hour Yoga Therapy Programs. We offer a wide variety of classes, ranging from Yin, Flow, Core Strength, 50+ Yoga, Gentle Hatha, Backcare, Vijnana Yoga and the Tensegrity Repair Series. Graduates of our Programs teach low-cost Hatha/ Flow and Therapeutic Yoga classes at our studio. We have an extensive mentorship program for Yoga Therapy Graduates, with teaching placements in heath-care organizations, businesses and local non-profits. Join Michelle for a 3 hour Fascia workshop on Saturday November 22, online or in person at the studio.

She will first offer an educational visual exploration of our interconnected Fascia web of our body; followed by a Yoga practice exploring specific ball rolling tools for improving our physical and emotional health, relieving aches and pain, releasing scar tissue and regulating the nervous system.

What are the best yoga poses for scoliosis? What are the ones to avoid? If you come to this series we will explore these questions. You will leave with a yoga sequence to practice at home that builds strength and stability. When you deepen your understanding of how to work with your body, you can reduce or avoid pain, while increasing your energy and confidence. The bonus of better sleep is possible too.

Getting in and out of a chair is not just a useful skill- it is also a marker for a long and healthy life!

Try this:
1️⃣ Sit near the front of the chair and cross your arms over your chest.

2️⃣ Lift your toes up and down (this helps to ground the heels, recruiting strength)

3️⃣ Lean forward a little and press into the heels to lift up your bum and hold for a breath.

4️⃣ Slowly lower down, hovering when you feel the edge of the chair.

5️⃣ Pause for a breath and then sit all the way down.

Try this a few times a week and see how your leg strength and balance improves!

Elham is such a dynamic instructor! Join her November 14-16 for this practical applications online course, we will dive more deeply into the theory of the seven tissues, prakrti/vikruti, the six stages of disease and the subdoshas.

We will also examine the attributes, food therapy and Ayuryoga for yoga therapy more deeply.

Students will apply Ayurvedic principles to themselves and practice clients and learn how to incorporate Ayurveda into their yoga therapy practice.

We have been playing with all sorts of hip strength movements in Jules’ Healthy Aging classes at the studio.

We love this one for how easy it is to do, and how much you will feel the effects afterwards.
