At The Vitality Clinic, we acknowledge World Health Day today, and recognize that everyday health is more than just the absence of illness.
It’s not only about how the body looks or functions — it’s about how you feel, how you cope, and how supported your system is day to day.

Stress doesn’t always feel like stress.
It doesn’t always show up as obvious overwhelm or anxiety — sometimes it’s easy to miss, and something the body carries quietly.

It can look like:

🥀feeling constantly tired, even after rest
🌵irritability or feeling on edge
🥀brain fog or difficulty concentrating
🌵tension in the body (jaw, shoulders, stomach)
🥀trouble sleeping or fully relaxing
🌵feeling disconnected or “not quite yourself”

Over time, these patterns can become your normal, making it harder to recognize when your body, mind, and spirit are actually under strain.

But support can look different for everyone.

For some, it’s talking things through in counselling.
For others, it’s working with the body through chiropractic care or acupuncture, or creating space for the nervous system to settle through energy-based therapies.
For many, it could simply be taking a walk, meditating, reading a book, or watching a good movie. Whatever it may be, addressing the daily burden of stress is crucial for our bodies ability to heal, be present, and keep us going.

Stress Awareness Month is a reminder to check in — not just with how you’re thinking, but with how you’re feeling in your body.

“The counsellor will tell me what to do.”

“Talking won’t change anything.”
👉🏽 Processing experiences can shift emotional and physical stress responses, easing difficulty in decision-making and helping you cope with everyday challenges.

📣 Not only for crisis: Counselling is valuable even if life “feels fine” but you want support or growth. Though it is not a replacement for medical care, it can work alongside other therapies for holistic wellbeing.

She does not blame your pain on your age, weight, or X-Ray findings:
🌱Pain is complex and often depends on many factors, it is rarely the result of just one thing.

She does not adjust everyone:
🌱Different bodies need different things, and Dr. Maddy uses a variety of tools and techniques to provide the best care for each individual patient. Adjustments aren't for everyone, and there are many patients she chooses not to adjust.

She does not tell her patients they need to come in every week:
