These are some of the foods and products that I tell my patients to prioritize buying organic if they can. These are among the most heavily sprayed crops with the highest amounts of pesticide residue. Organic dairy is also important as the pesticides from the foods that the animals eat accumulate in the fat and come out in the milk.
EWG puts together a dirty dozen (and clean 15) list each year by testing various produce and coming up with a list of those with the most and least amount of pesticide residue left. https://www.ewg.org/foodnews/dirty-dozen.php
