It is suitable for all levels of students. All classes will include Vinyasa practice, Asana practice, Pranayama (breathing exercise) and time for a short meditation. A little bit more about myself. My name is Carl Lefebvre and I am a retired college teacher. I've had a residence in Victoria since 2000. I settled in Vic West 3 years ago and love it though I wish there were more Yoga options. I initially came to Yoga (Iyengar) many moons ago due to a sport injury but put it on the backburner for several years. I pursued running and really got into Tai Chi for a while. I eventually returned to Yoga as a stress buster during a tough overseas teaching assignment. A little later, thanks to snorkeling and diving I became interested in the relationship between breath and relaxation. Simple as that may sound, there is no other ‘exercise’ that emphasizes this union as much as yoga – particularly the Vinyasa Krama style that could be described as slow flow movement coordinated with deep breath work. It can be challenging at times but you leave class feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I did my Teacher Training at Moksana Yoga here in Victoria and I just completed a 100hr Advanced Teacher Training course in Vinyasakrama Yoga with RamaSwami Srivasta. The learning doesn't stop and that's why I love leading classes and experiencing new things each class. My classes aim to help us all mentally de-clutter and restore peace and calm within. With that end in mind, every class will include a short session of pranayama and meditation before sivasana. For me, yoga must be enjoyable, safe and meaningful. It’s quality time spent with your ‘self’ and each individual’s needs and situation is special. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Come re-connect your body and mind at Moksana Yoga Centre Tuesday 9:30 am for 90 minutes of breath-centred, slow moving vinyasa yoga. You'll be happy you did. :)

Very happy to announce that I will be teaching at Moksana Yoga studio on Tuesdays 9:30 to
11am beginning February 25. It is a slow moving foundation level class with time set aside for some pranayama practice each week.

SO FLOW YOGA AT JAME BAY COMMUNITY CENTRE with Carl Lefebvre
Hi,
In early March David Procyshyn asked me to take over teaching his Gentle Hatha classes Wednesday and Friday mornings at James Bay Community Centre. It's a great set up and the regulars who show up are keen and fun. Now, David has decided to no longer do the Monday class, so I have offered to take that as well. Here are the times: Monday 11-12:15, Wed. 9:15-10:30, Friday 10:15-11:30. I'm grateful for the opportunity and look forward to making new yoga friends. See you there.
