If you've given birth to a child previously but need a quick update on birth, coping techniques, or have questions based on your previous experience, this is the place to be!

This course is meant for folks who have already been through a labour. If one or both partners have not been through labour before, we recommend our childbirth preparation class.

Ever wanted a to support families, empower people to be their strongest, and snuggle babies? Being a Doula is a great option, and postpartum doulas can set their own hours! Great for folks with school age children.

Doulas are called to this work through many different paths, some change careers, some have it as their first career, some are on a path to midwifery. Whatever brings you, we are excited to meet you!

Our next Doula training course at Camosun College starts January 2027. We hope that it will be once again eligible for the future skills grant, but we won’t know till the summer.

What is a Doula?

Swipe to see what a birth Doula, postpartum Doula, or overnight Doula can add to your team.

Support throughout labour and birth, and the postpartum period help you feel more supported and lower postpartum depression. Have a conversation during early pregnancy about what type of support you need/want and research the support available in your area. The second trimester is a great time to hire support.

⭐2-hour classes for 6 weeks, running weekday evenings
⭐3-hour classes for 4 weeks, running Sundays
⭐6-hour classes for 2 weeks, running on Saturdays
