Yesterday morning Charlie was happily greeting people in our office, looking for treats and acting like his usual self.

By 2pm, seemingly out of nowhere something was clearly wrong with him, he was unsteady and in terrible pain and Melissa took him to the emergency vet.
It turned out that he was suddenly bleeding internally, likely from an undiagnosed mass and that there was nothing that could be done for him.

We said our goodbyes to him as a family and by 4pm our very special little friend was gone at the age of 10. We buried him in our garden where we can visit him and he can always be close.

We are absolutely heartbroken but thankful that he was himself right up until the end and didn’t suffer long. More than that, we are thankful for the unconditional love, joy, and special moments that he was able to bring not only to our family but to literally Thousands of people who have come to our office seeking help and better health, especially the many babies and children whom Charlie was especially fond of and patient with.

For many, he was their first experience with a dog and a wonderful little ambassador for our office, adding very much to the hopeful and healing environment.

Charlie I can’t even begin to say how special you were to our family and to your many many friends in our office over the last 10 years. You truly were a special, joyful, healing soul, a blessing, and you will be missed so very dearly. We love you ❤️
