This past Autumn several of our Health Care Workers attended the Heart & Hands Conference, presented by BC. The conference includes various education sessions, speakers, and activities for health care professionals to broaden their knowledge and sense of community. 🫶

Anhelina K., a professional musician from the Ukraine and daughter of dietary team member Tatjana, recently gave a marvellous violin concert for our residents. Everyone sat with rapt attention as she wowed the crowd with her skill and grace. How lucky are we to have such a wonderful guest? ❤🎻

Last week was our Spring vaccination clinic, which we completed in record time thanks to the coordination and cooperation of our amazing staff--and our CEO, of course (Crab Executive Officer). 🦀

Spring has really sprung at the Kiwanis Pavilion! This week we welcomed five feathered friends to the world: Chicklette, Fluffy, Squawk, Roger, and Kelce. The fluffy fowl will be with us for about two weeks before they depart for farm life.

Big thanks as always to Rent The Chicken for their wonderful chicken hatching program. It's always a huge hit with the residents, prompting many precious memories and stories to be shared.

Last week we welcomed six new chicks to the world! Say hello to Harry, Buffy, Oulala, Butter, Chicklet, and Colonel Sanders, named by residents and staff. They will be with us to delight residents for another week before they head off to begin life on the farm. If you happen to come by the Pavilion, please visit our tiny feathered friends!

Once again thank you to Bees Please Farms for their wonderful Hatch the Chicken program that brings such joy to our residents.
