TWO WEEKS TODAY!
No Fixed Address: The White Cart Memorial
Thursday, February 19 at 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

No Fixed Address: The White Cart Memorial is a powerful and intimate documentary that sheds light on a deeply overlooked aspect of the homelessness crisis: people’s grief following the death of someone they care about. Through the voices and stories of individuals living with unstable housing, the film explores what it means to grieve without a house, and how loss echoes through a community already struggling to survive.

Join the UVic Institute on Aging & Lifelong Health, BC Centre for Palliative Care, Victoria Hospice, Island Health, and Kelowna Homelessness Research Centre, for the first showing of the film in Victoria, BC, followed by a panel discussion. Get your tickets at the link in comments ⬇️

3 questions we get all the time about gifts in Wills:
1. What about my family?
Most people leave the majority to loved ones, and set aside a small % (like 1–5%) for charity.
2. Can I change my mind?
Yes. Life changes, and your Will can change with it.
3. Do I need to be rich?
Not at all. Even a small % can add up, and Canada’s tax incentives make it go further.
Gifts in Wills is a trend that’s catching on. So we thought we’d share this 🎥 free webinar with some common myths and smart tips for supporters of Victoria Hospice.

The Westshore Wolves are proud to announce their first-ever Pink in the Rink game, taking place Saturday, January 24, 2026, in support of Victoria Hospice. This special event will bring together players, fans, and community partners to raise funds and awareness for compassionate end-of-life care and grief support services that make a lasting difference for families across Greater Victoria.

“Pink in the Rink is about more than hockey — it’s about community, compassion, and giving back,” said David Edgar, Sponsorship and Community Engagement Coordinator for the Westshore Wolves. “We’re honoured to partner with Victoria Hospice and help raise funds for the vital care they provide to families during life’s most difficult moments.”

Fans can look forward to a memorable evening filled with community spirit, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and limited-edition pink jerseys worn by the Wolves for this one-night-only event. Each jersey will later be auctioned off, with proceeds directly benefiting Victoria Hospice.

The Wolves are inviting local businesses and individuals to get involved through jersey sponsorships or silent auction donations. Sponsorship opportunities include having your company logo featured on the custom pink jerseys, offering excellent visibility while supporting a meaningful cause.

Join us as we turn the rink pink and skate for a cause that truly matters.

Our Story

Victoria Hospice is a registered charity that has provided end-of-life care focused on palliative treatment since 1980. Our nurses, counsellors, spiritual caregivers, physicians, and trained volunteers provide comfort for the patient and support for the family, rather than a cure for progressive and life-limiting illness.

Care is offered in patients’ homes, within our 17-bed in-patient unit, and as specific medical consultation to patients in other health care facilities. Over 300 trained volunteers provide companionship and support. Victoria Hospice offers bereavement support to families for up to one year following a death.

Roughly 50 percent of Victoria Hospice's annual operating costs are funded through community donations. Funds are raised from a variety of sources, including private donations, foundation grants, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events.
