Do you know the story behind miso soup?
It dates back more than 2,000 years to China before making its way to Japan through Buddhist monks, where it became the nourishing staple we know today. At one point, it was even reserved for nobility.
This particular miso is made with organic soybeans and organic rice, and it uses traditional koji as the starter culture. That means it is a true fermented food with rich umami flavor and real depth.
