We are so excited to be reopening this week!!
Our greatest priority is to keep everyone safe and healthy as we reopen the clinic and resume our practices. We have implemented the following precautions & procedures:
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS & PROCEDURES
• We will be pre-screening all patients the day before their appointment and again upon arrival for risk factors that would prohibit you from entering the clinic. These include:
o Whether you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 infection (i.e. fever, runny nose, sore throat, new cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, loss of sense of taste/smell ).
o Whether you have travelled in the past 14 days…or been in contact with anyone who has travelled.
• All late cancellation fees due to illness will be waived during this time.
• Please wait outside the clinic when you arrive for your appointment (either in your car or outside the clinic front door)…you will not be able to wait in the reception area. Your practitioner will text/call/motion for you to enter the clinic when she/he is ready for you. At this point you will be able to proceed right into your treatment room.
• When you come for your appointment, please consider leaving extra clothing and bags in your car…this will lessen potential viral transmission.
• Please consider bringing your own water/tea to the clinic so that you optimize your hydration following your treatment.
• Please arrive wearing a mask. If you do not have your own mask, we will provide one for you.
• Please use the available hand sanitizer immediately upon entering the clinic. Please employ standard infection prevention and control measures that keep us all safe: 1) wash or sanitize your hands immediately after sneezing or blowing your nose, 2) sneeze or cough into your sleeve/elbow, and 3) refrain from touching your face unless you have just washed/sanitized your hands. If the bathroom is unavailable to wash your hands, please use the hand sanitizer that is available just inside the clinic front door and in each treatment room. The hand sanitizer is not necessary if you have properly washed your hands.
• Please come alone to your appointment as anyone accompanying you will not be able to wait in the clinic.
• In an effort to minimize person to person contact in the reception area, after your treatment we will endeavor to answer any questions and provide any necessary instructions while in the treatment room. This will minimize the time spent at the reception desk and optimize patient flow in the clinic.
• We have installed a contactless point of sale terminal at the reception desk. We are also encouraging e-transfer payments at this time.
• We have installed a plexiglass barrier at the reception desk where physical distancing is a challenge.
• Please book your next appointment online if possible.
• Please bring your own pen with you as we require that you sign a Covid-19 specific informed consent and liability waiver.
• We will not be reusing blankets between patients. We will do everything possible to ensure that you are warm and comfortable during your treatment. If you are receiving a treatment in which you do not need to fully undress, please dress in loose/warm clothing that can be repositioned so that we can access treatment areas.
• We have implemented additional sanitization procedures at the clinic to keep patients/ practitioners safe and to prevent viral transmission. Additional cleaning will be performed in the treatment rooms and in all common areas between patients. Additional cleaning will be performed on a daily and weekly basis at the clinic.
• We have reduced our clinic capacity in an effort to optimize physical distancing wherever possible and to allow adequate time between patients for sanitization.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask your practitioner. We will continue to closely monitor updates from the BCCDC, the PHO, WorkSafe BC and our health regulatory bodies. We will update our precautions and procedures as necessary. We are dedicated to your health and safety and want you to feel comfortable and secure in our care.
