Glioblastoma is one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer, but a uOttawa researcher is bringing new hope for patients.

Dr. Arezu Jahani-Asl’s has discovered a protein that helps tumours become more aggressive and resistant to therapy. Now she is working on ways to block this protein.

Her lab also found approved ALS medication with the potential to make glioblastoma cells more responsive to radiation treatments.
