Please join us in welcoming Angelique Baker (she/her), Registered Acupuncturist, to our team!

Angelique joins us with a deeply rooted background in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and many years of midwifery practice, offering care that is grounded, gentle, and profoundly attuned to the rhythms of the body. Her work is guided by a reverence for the womb space - its wisdom, its cycles, and the sacred transitions held within it.

A graduate of Pacific Rim College’s Acupuncture and TCM program, Angelique offers acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and other TCM modalities in a warm, inclusive space meant to feel like a soft return to yourself. With additional training in childbearing-year acupuncture, she weaves her extensive midwifery experience with the ancient teachings of TCM to support menstruation, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and the many phases of reproductive wellness.

Angelique is also exploring the ancient art of TCM Facial Analysis and Diagnosis, and is honoured to offer cosmetic acupuncture treatments for those seeking a gentle glow and deeper constitutional support.

These days, she calls Sooke home, where river rocks, ocean air, and toddler-paced wanderings shape her rhythm, all while being guided by the reminder that “we are all just walking each other home.”

Angelique will be at the clinic Saturdays from 9:00AM to 2:00PM.

Just a little shift of dates for our upcoming January session of Born to Birth! 🌈

The January weekend intake will now be taking place:

Saturday, January 17th, 24th, 31st - 10:00AM to 2:30PM

Whether you're expecting your first baby, preparing for another birth, or showing up in support of others, this course offers practical tools, meaningful insights, and a connected, supportive community.

And a reminder that Born to Birth participants receive personalized breastfeeding support in addition to the set course dates! New parents will receive one-on-one guidance within the first 48 hours postpartum and continued support once home, if needed.

Spaces are limited to keep the experience personal and intentional, so be sure to reserve your spot soon!

Thank you to our founder and fearless leader, Andrea, for such a thoughtful and personal Instagram takeover this past week. 🌈

Andrea opened up about her journey to and through motherhood, sharing with honesty, vulnerability, and deep care. From trying to conceive while managing PCOS and Hashimoto’s, to navigating the early uncertainty of pregnancy, to a fast and powerful labour (so quick there wasn’t time to fill the birth pool!), and into the tender transition of postpartum life.

Her reflections offered a meaningful glimpse into the layered realities so many experience, but don’t always talk about, and reminded us of the strength in being honest about the full spectrum of it all.

Her Story

Andrea is a registered massage therapist and an avid birth enthusiast. She works in the surroundings of motivated, multidisciplinary healthcare professionals at Pure Ellements Wellness. Though she sees a varied clientele for issues such as stress management and chronic pain, her focus is to support women of all ages through their child bearing years and beyond. Passion for this patient population has lead her to explore avenues leading to labor support, prenatal fitness and education. She is currently exploring ways to serve you best in those fields. As an RMT, Andrea enjoys work with the teen population, pregnancy, postpartum individual’s, and to care for their children and infants. Alongside strategic home care planning, her practice style is to provide intense relaxation while treating the root of pain and imbalance.
