New year. New chapter—officially.
This past year marked my return home to Canada after three years in Australia, my first year back with family, and an exciting period of growth in aesthetic medicine.

To my friends and former patients in Australia—Happy New Year. I miss the beautiful beaches and, more importantly, the incredible people who made my time there so meaningful.

💉 Can Zinc Help Your Botox Last Longer? 🤔

Curious if zinc supplements can extend the effects of your Botox treatments? A 2012 study found that combining 50 mg of zinc with phytase (as in the supplement Zytase™) could increase Botox’s duration by about 30% . This is because zinc plays a crucial role in Botox’s mechanism by aiding the enzyme that blocks nerve signals.  

However, experts advise caution. While taking zinc supplements is generally safe, excessive intake can lead to side effects and may interfere with other medications . It’s always best to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen.
