Health Hacks and Facts
My two young children and I were on vacation in a foreign country when I started having issues. By the time I got home I was sure something was dreadfully wrong with my body.
I was losing weight and there was often blood in my stool. My doctor did what he could but my family and I spent eight months worrying, and I was down to 120 lbs before I got to see the specialist.
The diagnosis was unforgiving... stage 4 cancer. They performed emergency surgery, then I underwent chemotherapy which almost killed me! I’m very thankful that what they did saved my life, but the damage inflicted on my body by the ordeal left behind several health problems.
I decided I wouldn’t roll over and accept my fate, so I fought back and made many improvements... and now I share with others what I learned on this journey.
