This post is an ode to rest π©΅
Autumn is the transition into Nature's rest phase. We are all part of nature, inherently connected. For some of us, rest is something that has to be prioritized in order to be sustained in this busy busy life. But nothing grows 100% of the time, nothing goes full speed 24 hours a day.
Self improvement culture, hustle culture, capitalism, all benefit from the negative narrative that has shaped a lot of how adults see any amount of spaciousness in their schedule. Rest doesn't have to look like a nap it can look like creativity, flow states, nutrition breaks, mindfulness, meditation, stillness.
There is no prerequisite required to access rest. You just being here is enough.
