3 Reformer Pilates Moves for Desk Workers 💻✨

1️⃣ Hitchhiker – Targets shoulder blade stability and the rotator cuff while strengthening the chest in a lengthened position, all supported by a stable core.

2️⃣ Curl-Ups – Dynamically strengthens the deep neck flexors while promoting segmental movement through the neck and upper back. This helps coordinate flexion and extension, while also improving shoulder blade and upper back stability and integrating core control.

3️⃣ Long Stretch - Strengthens the mid-back with the arms in an overhead position, challenging the upper range of shoulder motion while maintaining a stable core and pelvis.

Born in Spain and raised on Salt Spring Island, Celia completed her Kinesiology degree at Western University and later a Master’s in Sports Science in Spain. Now a full-time Victoria BC resident for the past two years, she is dedicated to helping clients navigate their recovery and achieve their individual health goals, whether they are returning to competitive sport or simply looking to move pain-free in daily life. 🏃‍♂️ ☺️

Doug Ennenberg, RMT—who originally joined Acacia Health as a locum for Megan—is now staying on with our team! 🙌

Doug works with fascia, muscles, joints, and the nervous system to help release tension, reduce pain, and support healthy alignment. 💆‍♂️ He loves helping people find relief and believes understanding anatomy is key to lasting change.

Doug enjoys a good chat during treatment (or comfortable silence!) and outside the clinic you’ll find him hiking 🥾, biking 🚴, swimming 🏊, or canoeing 🛶.
