✨ Caregiver Spotlight: Melissa ✨

Great care starts with genuine connection - and that’s exactly what Melissa brings every day. 💜

Melissa loves building real relationships with the seniors she supports - sharing stories, laughter, and meaningful moments that brighten each day.

“What I enjoy most is making a real difference and getting to know each person - their stories, their interests, and what brings them joy.”

It’s caregivers like Melissa who remind us that care is not just about support - it’s about connection, compassion, and presence. We’re so grateful to have her on our team. 🌿

💧Hydration Tip for Seniors 🌿

As we age, our sense of thirst naturally decreases - which means dehydration can happen quietly, without obvious signs.

Supporting hydration doesn’t have to be complicated. Small, consistent habits can make a big difference:

💧 Keep a water bottle within easy reach
🍵 Enjoy warm herbal teas
🥣 Add nourishing soups or broths
🍓 Choose fruits rich in water (like berries, melon, oranges)
⏰ Build simple “hydration moments” into the daily routine

✨ Gentle reminders today can help prevent bigger health concerns tomorrow - especially when it comes to kidney health.

Not all fats are created equal. Some fats help support heart and brain health, while others are best enjoyed in moderation. Understanding the difference can make everyday food choices easier. 🫒💜

Good fats are typically unsaturated fats. These fats can help support cholesterol levels, brain function, and overall heart health. You’ll often find them in foods like:
• Avocados
• Olive oil and canola oil
• Nuts and seeds
• Fatty fish like salmon and tuna

Bad fats are usually saturated or trans fats. Eating too much of these fats may increase the risk of heart health concerns, so they are best limited when possible. Common sources include:
• Fried foods
• Processed snacks
• Baked goods made with shortening
• Fast food meals and processed meats

Choosing more good fats and limiting bad fats is one simple way to support healthy aging through nutrition.
