What’s your relationship to your cycle? Whether you’re on birth control or not it’s good to know what’s up down there. Growing up, I only learned that we have periods every month and that they are typically painful an sucky. I seriously can’t recall anything else other than watching the teacher put a tampon in cup of water… which is pretty weird and sad.

From pre teen to post menopause we go through a wild journey with our hormones. It can feel like a roller coaster we have no control of but lately we are taking control of this a narrative. Thank god. I love that this conversation has been started and more and more bleeders are starting to get in tune with their body and it’s natural cycles.

I’m going to plant a few seeds (or eggs?) to get you thinking and then I’ll post some answers and more info later!

🄚 do you know when you ovulate? What are the physical signs and energetic cues of ovulation?

ā° how long is a typical cycle from day 1 of bleed to the next?

šŸ˜“how much pain and cramping is normal? Is dizziness and fatigue normal? What about clots?

🌵What is going on when we PMS? And what the hell can we do about it?

🄵Is perimenopause something to fear? what does society condition us to believe and how can we fix our relationship with this transition and make it physically more comfortable?

šŸ¤”what are some other questions or thoughts about bleeding, bloating and feeling that you may have?
Post them ā¬‡ļø

✨COMMUNITY ACU OFFERING✨

I am so excited to offer this pop up of community acupuncture at (Maybe the first of many?!)

Community acupuncture is a model of care where individuals are treated in the same room creating a inclusive healing environment. For this event individualized treatments will take place on the comfort of yoga mats with bolsters, blankets, pillows and moxa packs available to keep you cozy. Loose and comfortable that can be rolled up is a must!

In effort to make treatments more affordable they will be pay what you can with $45-$75 as the sliding scale with no questions asked. Spots are limited and booking a time slot is required. See šŸ”— in bio to book your spot!

This event is also dear to my heart as I am donating half of the proceeds to NEED 2 Su***de Prevention Education and Support Program in memory of those who we’ve lost to su***de. Attached are some slides that offer more info about their organization.

Healing and self care doesn’t need to be expensive or in isolation. I hope to see you there! If you have any questions let me know.

šŸADDING SUNDAY HOURSā„ļø

Can you feel the ironic busy-ing happen as we settle into a naturally inward time of year? Fall is a time where peoples lives fall back into a sense of routine. Modern day culture pressures us to do everything with everyone everywhere, all the time. And I like to rebel and dare you to too.

I’m adding just a few Sunday hours every 2 weeks in November and December to my schedule to allow you busy bees to fit some decompression, stillness and tlc into your lives.

November and December book up faster than other months as people remember to use their hard earned benefits so please book your care appointments ahead of time.

I have some other offerings brewing up this season so stay tuned for more care opportunities!

Take care of yourselves and be kind to yourself and others (wash your hands, stay home when sick, wear masks if feeling a little off in public).

I’m very excited to announce I’m moving my Acupuncture practice over to Third Space Movement in the Recovery Clinic this September!

I have loved being in this beautiful heritage house on Cook st but I’ve started to feel quite lonely (hello my name is Lacy and I am an extrovert šŸ‘‹) practicing solo even with my super cool rmt neighbors who I wish I saw more of😘.

I’m grateful to be able to keep my business as is (same website and booking site!) but join a very welcoming and healthy community! Plus, I don’t have to take my laundry home anymore! šŸŽ‰ and there’s free parking right out front for all of y’all!

If you haven’t heard of before go and check them out. They have accessible fitness and movement classes for all types of people. I feel aligned with their values of building inclusive and healthy community and can’t wait to work along side a great team of people. I will share some of their reels in my stories!

I was nervous to throw another change out to my clients but then I let some of them inspire me. It’s normal to make changes early on and really at any stage of a career just as I see so many do to better their well-being. So, I thank you for understand and following my practice to different locations as I find my best fit!

I will be opening my September- December books for new and returning clients by the end of the week! Stayed tuned ✨

I’m spicing things up and making changes to my practice this September… and feeling pretty stoked about it!

In case you haven’t noticed, I strongly dislike feelings of stagnation so I gotta make changes when it feels right. When an awesome opportunity comes up, I gotta take the plunge!

Can’t wait to share the news with all you lovely clients and friends in a week or so! Thanks for rolling with all my changes so far. Stay tuned and cool! šŸ˜Ž

šŸ”„Promote comfort, decompression and relaxation on a systemic level

šŸ”„ Musculoskeletal pain: Chronic lower back pain, neck pain and fibromyalgia

šŸ”„Digestive problems: Bloating, gastric reflux and constipation conditions

šŸ”„Recovery: Cough, asthma and common cold

WAITLIST NOTIFICATIONS!!!

Ok so the online booking software I use did something amazing!

You can now be automatically notified when that the spot you’ve added yourself on the waitlist for is open!
SO, if you’re like the majority of my clients who love to come in the evening but the date and time you want is currently booked PLEASE add yourself to the waitlist (At the bottom left corner of the online calendar šŸ˜‰) for that time because the chances are you can get in at that time.

Life happens, cancellations happen but now it’s easier to take advantage of it!

Hope to see ya soon!

My Story.

Hello,

My name is Lacy and I am a Registered Acupuncturist (RAc) and Graduate of the Diploma of Acupuncture program at Pacific Rim College in Victoria. I also have an Undergraduate Degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies from the University of Calgary and have worked for 8 years as a Rehabilitation Assistant providing physiotherapy and occupational therapy in hospitals. My experience working hands-on with individuals recovering from traumatic injuries, as well as advanced medical and neurological conditions transfers to the acupuncture table. My interests are in digestive & emotional health, chronic pain, and neurological recovery. I am offering traditional, scalp, and orthopedic needling techniques along with cupping, guasha, and the Chinese massage known as Tui Na.

I became passionate about acupuncture and Chinese medicine after my own experience of using them to treat my Crohn's disease, which I have now been thriving with for the past 5 years. As I learned about Chinese medicine's theory of emotional states and their ability to affect physical states of being, I realized acupuncture was finally the tool I needed to approach the body as a whole in order to help myself and others. In my free time, I strive for balance in life by spending as much time outside camping, rock climbing, hiking, or just laughing with friends by the ocean. I am grateful to live on the west coast and excited to have the opportunity to serve such a wonderful community.
