The Town of Viking would like to extend a big thank you to Councillor Julianna Merta for volunteering her time to organize this event for our community. We hope you have a great time Trick or Treating to the businesses in Town and have a great Halloween with your family! See event details below.

Look out Viking🕸 Trick or Treat on Main 🕷 is back and look at all the businesses taking part!!

The businesses are welcoming kiddos after school* until 5pm. (Some businesses close earlier as marked) so make sure to hit them all up! The Extendicare is doing a fun carnival for the kids from 3 to 5pm. Plus there might be a real sweet treat you won't want to miss at one place... also keep your eyes 👀 out for the RCMP, Fire department and possibly the ambulance Halloween night!

Need supper ideas? At the empty lot at the top of main is where you will find hotdogs 🌭from 3:15-5pm. HUGE thank you to Cloverlodge Stampede Association and Labreche's Plumbing & Heating Ltd for donating again this year. So go visit them and grab a bite to eat before hitting up all the businesses.

Thank you again for all the businesses in joining this year! Parents and kiddos make sure to get your walking shoes on and pillow cases cause this Halloween is going to be a great one!! 🎃

Viking RCMP Encourages Everyone to Stay Safe This Halloween🎃

As Halloween approaches, the Viking RCMP urges everyone to take extra precautions while out trick-or-treating to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

🚘🚜🚕🚍Drivers, we want to remind you to stay vigilant while navigating the roads filled with treak or treaters here are some tips to keep everyone safe this spooky season.

✋Drive at reduced speeds in residential areas, especially where children are likely to be crossing the street.

👻🎃Watch for kids darting between parked cars and always be prepared for sudden movements, as excitement can lead to unpredictable behaviour.

👀Put away your phone and other distractions. Stay focused on the road to ensure you can react quickly if needed.

🏠Be extra careful when approaching crosswalks and make sure to yield to pedestrians, particularly in areas with heavy foot traffic on Halloween night.
