🚭 Thinking about quitting smoking? You don’t have to do it alone.

During a routine medication review, Omar shared that he wanted to quit smoking but wasn’t sure where to start. Our pharmacist walked him through the smoking cessation support available right here at the pharmacy and helped build a personalized quit plan.

Together, they talked about managing triggers, leaning on support, and using medication to help reduce cravings. Over the following months, Omar checked in regularly for follow‑ups, progress tracking, and encouragement along the way.

Quitting wasn’t always easy—but with consistent support, Omar stayed on track. Today, he’s been smoke‑free for 8 months and credits his pharmacist for helping make it possible. 💙

A quick stop turned into quick relief.

While browsing our eye care aisle, a patient noticed a sign letting them know our pharmacists can assess and help treat certain conditions. With red, irritated eyes for a few days, they were about to grab allergy drops—but decided to ask first.

After a brief assessment, our pharmacist was able to help, recommend the right treatment, and share simple hygiene tips—all in one visit. ✅ A few days later, we followed up and their eyes were back to normal.
Sometimes, the best care starts with a quick conversation. 💙

During a medication review, a patient mentioned she was planning to visit her young grandchildren. The pharmacist took the opportunity to discuss RSV, reviewed eligibility, answered questions, helped obtain a prescription and administered the vaccine- all in the same visit! The patient left feeling informed, protected, and confident about spending time with her family.

Later, she noted that many of her friends were also planning to visit family during the holidays and were not aware the vaccine could be assessed and given at the pharmacy.

A reminder of why accessible pharmacy care matters 💙

When a patient noticed her blood pressure readings were staying high at home, she stopped by the pharmacy for guidance. Her physician was away, and even though she was taking her medication as prescribed, something clearly wasn’t right.

After assessing the patient by conducting a medication review, examining readings and medical history, the pharmacist adjusted the dose of her blood pressure meds. To support continuity of care, the interaction was documented, and her doctor was notified of the change. The pharmacist arranged follow‐up blood pressure checks, and over the next few weeks, her numbers returned to target and remained stable. When her physician returned, they confirmed the results and renewed the updated dose.

Sometimes, the right care is right around the corner.

This Pharmacy Appreciation Month, we celebrate the accessibility of pharmacists; being there on weekends, between appointments, and when questions can’t wait. Through timely prescription adaptation and ongoing monitoring, pharmacy teams help ensure patients receive the care they need when they need it. 💊💚
