Diamond House’s believes that all residents are equal, and despite their different levels of care, deserve to live in an environment that makes them feel right at home. A wide variety of amenities encourage residents to function at their best, participate and stay active. Some of these amenities include a Great room, games room, greenhouses, coffee shop, massage room, craft area, exercise studio, and a hair salon. In addition, 11 sun-rooms are designed to host activities like art class, wine making, music, workshop, and various clubs. Diamond house will welcome new ideas and requests from residents so that they can continue to try new things and participate in the activities that they love. Healthy home cooked meals and a menu containing several traditional Mennonite favorites, the dining experience at Diamond House will be one not to miss. Nutritious meals will be planned in consultation with each resident and a dietitian, to ensure individual preferences and nutritional needs are met. Residents are welcome to have anything they like from their kitchen, which is accessible 24 hours a day. As a personal care home, Diamond House has been carefully designed to positively impact the health and well-being of all residents regardless of the required level of care. With a progressive “Aging in the Right Place” philosophy, Diamond House is committed to adapting the environment to meet the unique and changing needs of each resident. Our wonderful ladies from the kitchen will be hosting a bake sale fundraiser for Verna, with all proceeds going toward supporting her through her chemo treatments.

🎓🌿 High school students — this one’s for you!

Diamond House is launching an Intensive Summer Student Volunteer Program where you can earn your Volunteerism 30 credit while gaining real experience in a healthcare and community setting.

You'll spend 100 structured hours alongside our recreation and engagement teams — learning how to communicate with confidence, support older adults in meaningful ways, and grow into leadership.
This is for students who want more than something to “put on a resume.” It’s for those who want to build real skills, real perspective, and real impact.

If you’re a motivated student — or a parent of one — that's interested in healthcare, education, social work, community leadership, or simply want to spend your summer doing something fun and meaningful — we’d love to connect!

We're building a nostalgic movie library for our residents — and we need your help!

Do you have any older DVDs lying around? We’re especially looking for classics like:
🎬 Westerns
🎭 Old sitcoms
🖤 I Love Lucy, Dick Van D**e, Burns & Allen, Dennis the Menace, Dobie Gillis, Leave It to Beaver — and more!

If you’d like to donate any DVDs, please drop them off at the front desk at Diamond House. Every disc helps bring back fond memories, big laughs, and meaningful moments for our residents. 💛

Men’s Club at Diamond House isn’t about anything fancy — it’s about carving out space for real connection. For routine. For belonging. For friendship.

It creates a safe space for our men to connect casually and just hang out! Some days it’s cards. Other days it’s building something. But every time, it’s a reminder of the power of consistency and the comfort of familiar faces.

On National Senior Citizens Day back in October, we cozied up with the students from Diamond Heritage Academy for tea, cookie decorating, and lots of sweet moments.
