Healthy Digestion 101 - a mini nutrition series
Your easy action step options to work on getting more water into your days:
#1 - Buy a 2 litre water bottle and fill it in the morning - aiming to finish it by the end of the day
#2 - Start to habit stack drinking water into your day. Take something you already automatically do (waking up in the morning, brushing your teeth, having a shower etc and drink a glass of water before or after that activity. Ex: after I wake up in the morning, I drink 1 glass of water) Connecting a new habit to things you already do automatically makes establishing a new habit SO much easier.
#3 - Set a timer on your phone to go off each hour as a reminder to drink some water
Gas, bloating, irregularity, stomach pain? These are all signs of some stress within the digestive system but did you know your gut is central to all body systems and can also affect things like your mood, skin, immune system, sleep and more?
