Our 2nd annual Horod Vintage Snowmobile Derby was a great success! Our winners are as follows:

1st place silent rider: Linda Hales
2nd place silent rider: Heather Bialis

Thank you for your support at our derby as well as our dance, thank you for all the volunteers that helped put this event on and to those that donated towards our event, without you all it would not be possible. We look forward to hopefully seeing you all at our summer Ride For Life event July 24-25/2026!

-everyone who came out to the ride, supper, auction and/or dance
-everyone bought 50/50 and traeger tickets (50/50 was won by Terry Fiarchuk and the traeger by Jeff Janczyszyn)
-all the auction bidders & those that purchased items
-Sandy Lake Fire Department for working security at the door
-our band Ridin' High
-Terry Woychyshyn for being our auctioneer
-Sally Shurvell for being our medic and Kelly Knight for accompanying her
-Provincial Ex of Manitoba for lending us their hand sanitizers and dispensers
-Dennis Rogasky for doing the historic bus tour
-Nesbitt Publishing for discount on poster design
-the hardworking kitchen committee who once again did an incredible job of organizing, prepping and cooking all the food
-and last but not least the all the volunteers, there is no way we could do this event without all of you, from planning to set up, collecting auction prizes, working shifts, cooking roasts, clean up, helping with the installation of the dance floor and air conditioner in the hall

If we missed anyone we truly apologize - we are so grateful to have so many wonderful volunteers that show up every year!

There are many volunteers who tirelessly donate their time year over year to allow us to hold 26 successful Ride for Life events. This year we want to recognize an impressive milestone: Eleanor Yanchycki has made and donated over 25,000 perogies over the years. Well done Eleanor!!!

Food prep for the supper is well underway! Meal served from 4-6pm. Thank you Sandy Lake - Elphinstone Handi Van for picking up and delivering the buns for us from Western Bakery Dauphin.
