This playful yoga series is designed to spark imagination, creativity, and joy in little ones! Each class blends movement, music, storytelling, and mindfulness to create a fun and engaging experience. Children will explore yoga through songs, dance, partner poses, breath work, and relaxation—building connection, curiosity, and confidence along the way.

Expect small, controlled movements, supportive guidance, and plenty of flexibility for feeding, soothing, or taking breaks. No pressure, no perfection—just a chance to move your body, reconnect with your strength, and bond with your baby in a welcoming, judgment-free space.

A supported Chair Yoga practice lets you move more freely, with more awareness AND with a sense of stability! Join us Monday & Wednesday at 11am!
Chair Yoga is a modified yoga practice that incorporates the support of a chair. This class is particularly beneficial to those not wanting, or not able to, practice yoga on the floor.
We are able to safely explore traditional postures and shapes, and focus on correct alignment in the body while cultivating a calm breath.
Time is spent in seated postures, as well as standing with or without the help of the chair.
Other yoga props are often included to enhance the practice - blocks, straps, loop bands, Pilates balls, small weights and our own body weight.
We build functional strength, mobility, flexibility and stability, while connecting our mind, body and breath.

The Yogashala opened in 2013 and Waterdown was the first choice for a location due to its growth and potential. Yogashala’s vision was always to provide a safe, supportive and humble environment for the community, all members, teachers and staff. We wanted to break down the walls of intimidation that may come with beginning a yoga practice and stepping into a studio setting and so the personal experience that you feel as you come into Yogashala has from the beginning been the most important tool in succeeding the vision of creating a judgment free space.
We strive to be a place where you come to feel good and leave feeling even better, that happens because of the personal and hands on guidance you will receive and we achieve this due to the fact that Yogashala is not a large company, we are not a franchise, we are not a conglomerate; we are here to share our passion and our lives with the Waterdown community. We want Yogashala to be a close knit, personal, and comfortable place to come hang out, practice yoga, make new friends, and have a supportive environment that is always available to you. We make huge efforts to learn everybody’s name and build personal relationships and connections with each and every person that enters through our doors…provided you want us to learn your name :)
From the beginning everyone who has been involved in Yogashala has opened their hearts, minds, and their lives to share everything with you, the staff, teachers and energy exchange volunteers are the root of this studio and we hope you will love us and our studio; we know you will!! Where can you find us?
In keeping with Waterdown’s full name “Victorian Village of Waterdown”, we found the perfect spot! Right in the heart of Waterdown is where you will find us. You can find us in the newly built, but Victorian style building, at 312 Dundas Street East in the lower level. In our space you will find 3 yoga rooms with one being an infrared hot room, another room having the Iyengar Rope Wall System and the third room is a regular temperature room that most often facilities the Barre classes. We offer a full service studio with shower facilities equipped with everything you need for after a class if you choose and an array of complimentary offerings if you so need!
Our mission is to give you the inspiration to live a happier, healthier life. To give you the knowledge and guidance to help you with your own transformation. To give you the motivation and encouragement to reach your destination. The perfect time to join us is now. We work in our converted and restored space. We started from the ground up and you can too.
