Dr. Kate O’Hare is a passionate family chiropractor at Kinstruct Health (going on 7 years!) known for her gentle, patient-centered approach.

As a new mom to her adorable little girl 💗 Piper, Kate brings a deeply personal understanding of pregnancy, birth, and early childhood to her practice. She especially loves supporting expectant and new mothers, as well as babies and children, helping families thrive through every stage.

With additional chiropractic training in pediatrics and a special focus on healthy neurodevelopment, Dr. Kate is dedicated to optimising nervous system function, supporting milestones, and fostering healthy growth from infancy onward. Pain is a complex experience; not all pain signifies tissue damage.

An untrained or immobile spine lacks healthy input to the brain, which triggers a heightened stress response because the brain cannot adapt appropriately to its environment. This means that the movement you are attempting is perceived as a threat and unsafe. The result is pain, which serves to deter you from engaging in that movement.

Continued lack of movement further deteriorates neurological function. This can subsequently lead to inflammation, hypersensitivity, muscle tension, and emotional distress, ultimately diminishing your long-term quality of life.

Your brain craves quality sensory input, and your spine and muscles play a pivotal role in delivering that. Engaging in healthy, regular, and functional movement enhances this input and fosters neural flexibility, which contributes to cognitive health as well. 🧠

Don’t avoid movement and strength training—your brain relies on it! If you want to heal, movement should be a priority. 🫶
