One of the first things we learn as groomers is to “stay out of the bite zone”. Fail. Susan didn’t realize until later in the day that Peach had actually bit her on the chin at some point. Ooops.

Little Machi loved his spa treatment! Our hydro bath combines warm, recirculating water, gentle pressurized jets and ozone therapy. This relaxing spa experience goes beyond traditional bathing to deeply cleanse, soothe and treat a dog’s skin and coat. With the looong winter we have had, we could all use some skin soothing.

Sweet Valor 🤍

This was meant to be his Easter photo.
Heartbreakingly, he didn’t make it to see Easter.

A quick search tells us that valor means great courage in the face of danger, especially in battle. And in every way that matters, that was him.

But the truth is… Valor didn’t know he was being brave.
He didn’t know he was fighting a battle.

He was just living—
with love, with joy, with a spark that refused to dim—
despite the circumstances he was born into.

This could easily turn into a rant.
About the cruelty of commercial breeding.
About the genetic suffering created in the name of profit or ignorance.

But this post isn’t about that.

This is about love.

It’s about the extraordinary compassion and commitment of a community that showed up—again and again—for one small puppy.
People who gave their time, their money, their homes, and pieces of their hearts so that Valor could have a chance.

It’s about the rescuers and fosters who are stretched thin, exhausted, and still keep going.

There are too many to name, and I would surely miss someone…
but you know who you are.

You mattered to him.
You gave him everything.

The Easter Bunny came early this year and look who he brought!! Rika will be returning soon from her maternity leave. She will be gradually easing back into grooming over the next few months … if all goes well (ie. if Hubby can master diaper blowouts) … her availability will gradually increase. Her schedule will be updated in our online booking system soon. 🐾❤️.

Hellooooo! Yes, we know our social media accounts have gone dark for a few weeks. The winter blues (and 🦠) have hit us hard in March … which seems to be a pretty common thing these days! But we are back! We have a backlog of pictures of all the gorgeous pets we have seen lately so be prepared for an influx of posts and stories. Featuring Scout… she’s not sad and grumpy… that’s just her face. Probably.
