❄️Winter Skincare Tip❄️
Gentle exfoliation is key!
Dry winter air can leave skin looking dull and uneven—but scrubbing harder isn’t the answer. In fact, over-exfoliating during colder months can weaken the skin barrier and make dryness, redness, and sensitivity worse.
Instead, winter skin responds best to light chemical exfoliants—gentle acids or enzymes that dissolve dead skin cells without abrasion. Think PHAs (like gluconolactone), low-percentage lactic acid, mandelic acid, or enzyme exfoliants derived from fruits. These options smooth texture and boost glow while still being kind to dehydrated, sensitive skin.
What to skip (or scale way back) this time of year? Harsh scrubs, gritty exfoliants, and strong acids that can strip already-dry skin.
The goal isn’t aggressive renewal—it’s balanced turnover. Gentle, consistent exfoliation paired with hydration helps skin stay resilient, smooth, and luminous all winter long.
