Located in the heart of Uptown Waterloo, we offer a relaxing environment to monitor eye health and provide fashion-forward handmade glasses. Our 6 optometrists, 2 Opticians and knowledgeable staff are trained to give you a world-class experience.

Independent Eyewear.

Our glasses are primarily made by independent eyewear designers. These designers are the innovators and trend-setters for the eyewear industry. We focus on collections that are handcrafted by creative individuals who care about quality, authenticity, ingenuity and passion. It is our pleasure to introduce these frames to the Waterloo Region and beyond.

Sourced Globally.

We travel the world seeking the best glasses available. Each year we attend international eyewear trade shows. Since the conception of Insight, we have traveled to New York, Las Vegas, Paris, Milano, Budapest, Berlin and Munich in order to stay relevant, meet new and existing designers and bring back some really cool product.

Styled Locally.

Our amazing team of eyewear consultants are exceptional in helping our clients find the best fitting, looking, feeling frames to showcase their personality. Not only are they fashion savvy, our consultants are technically trained to suggest the best prescription lenses for your needs.

Eye Examinations.

We really get to know your eyes. From the time you coordinate your appointment with one of our receptionists, to your pre-testing with one of our diagnostic technicians and your complete examination with one of our six optometrists we will have assessed your vision through full dilation, eye health evaluation, refraction and OCT retinal imaging. We also have in-house Visual Field Testing and Binocular Vision Therapy assessments and rehabilitation programs.

Community.

As much as we enjoy people coming into Insight, we also enjoy getting out of the office to support our community and fellow local independent businesses. We partner up with some of our favourite shops to create our own images that we share socially and at Princess Cinemas and Apollo Cinema. A few of our favourite events include Grand Porch Party, Steel Rails and Craftoberfest. We believe that the more we get out and support our community through art and human interaction, the more vibrant our community will become!
