I am a 100% mobile therapist, meaning I come to you! My main services are Fascial Stretch Therapy treatments, individual conditioning, and senior wellness.
I am a Registered Kinesiologist. Being a Registered Kinesiologist means that I am a member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. The College is the authority that regulates kinesiologists in Ontario. This governing body exists to protect the public. Kinesiology is the science of human movement.
I graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. In 2013, I successfully became a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. Since becoming regulated, I have been working with healthy and senior population, and also clients with chronic conditions such as stroke, MS, nerve damage, and fractures. I treat clients in their homes, and in the community.
I have a passion for movement and helping people move better and easier. My positive outlook and attitude create an environment of success as I help my clients to progress and reach for their potential. I love to learn new skills and knowledge. I regularly take courses and read material that intrigues me. My background in gymnastics coaching, physical conditioning and rehab combined with my knowledge of Kinesiology, helps me to see opportunities for corrective treatments to enhance movement and performance.
I grew up in Elmira and being a part of the community has always been important to me. In my teen years, I transitioned from gymnast to coach at the Woolwich Gymnastics Club. I coached gymnasts from the Parent and Tot classes all the way to the Developmental and Competitive stream. By coaching the little ones I was able to appreciate the joy of movement. With our competitive gymnasts I was able to see the details of a movement and its impact on ability to do a skill.
To keep myself moving, I enjoy mud and obstacle runs, play dodgeball, slo-pitch, yoga, beach volleyball and strength training. To keep things interesting I like to try new activities like; bubble soccer, archery tag, axe throwing, and the Plunger Plop!
