🐣 The chicks were well-loved during their time here at Parkwood! We will miss them, but enjoyed the time we got to spend naming, cuddling, and watching them grow over the past few weeks! 🐣

There is lots of excitement here at Parkwood right now as our long awaited chicks have finally hatched!

Residents, family members & staff have been watching the process from Day 1 and are extra excited today as we moved them from the incubator to their new home! 🐣🐥

Residents are excited to have lots of visits with the chicks over the next couple weeks! Keep an eye out for some more pictures!🐥

A few weeks ago, Parkwood, and our sister home Fairview, engaged in some fun, friendly competition to bring back the Fairview-Parkwood Olympics. We played hockey shootout, curling, ice-fishing and tested our knowledge with some Olympic trivia!

It was a very close competition, but Parkwood residents took home the trophy this year!!

We all had so much fun and look forward to heading over to Fairview for the next Summer Olympics!

Our campuses are exploring new ways to support older adults and families in our communities…and we need your input!
With long-term care waitlists growing, many people want to stay at home longer, but getting the right support can be tough.

We’re looking at new programs and services that help with:
🔘social isolation
🔘accessing in-home supports
🔘short-term support during times of change
🔘a possible Navigator role to guide families
🔘navigating an understanding the healthcare system

We want to partner with you to build supports that truly reflect our community’s needs.

LTC residents enjoyed a wonderful week of Christmas parties for each of our home areas. We enjoyed Christmas carols, yummy refreshments and of course, the Recreation elves were hard at work delivering hand-picked gifts to each resident! 🎁

Thank you so much to everyone who took a tag from our kindness tree or supported us in any way, we are so appreciative of the generosity of our community.
